Brookfield Residential Teams Up with Tesla and Dacra

July 09, 2021
Brookfield Residential Tesla and Darba V3 Solar Panels

Easton Park, a top-selling Brookfield Residential master-planned community in Austin, Texas is becoming one of the nation’s most sustainable residential communities, thanks to a partnership with Tesla Energy and Dacra.

This initiative, provisionally named at the start of phase one, SunHouse at Easton Park, aims to create a new model for the design and construction of sustainable large-scale housing project around the world. Tesla V3 solar roof tiles, Powerwall 2 battery storage and other sustainable features will be installed in phases in newly built homes in Easton Park.

Phase one underway

Under this partnership, there are a sampling of homes under construction in Easton Park that will feature Tesla’s Solar Roof and Powerwall.  And first phase is just the start — the initial installations will provide insight and information on product integration, which will guide the installation at the next phase of significantly more homes towards the goal of establishing an energy-neutral, sustainable community.

What customers can expect

Homebuyers reap the benefits of energy security and efficiency that this type of technology affords. It is anticipated residents of these homes will produce sufficient energy to supply daily needs and reduce demand on Austin’s electric grid. Homeowners will also be provided with back-up storage in the event of a power outage, and potentially could be compensated for returning power to the energy grid.
