Get out and explore

Outdoors is one of the best places to be right now. Choose from hiking trails that run along sunny, open hilltops or descend into a densely-wooded canyon at the Dublin Hills Regional Park. Explore Iron Horse Regional Trail, a multi-use trail that stretches from Concord to Pleasanton and follows the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way originally established in 1891.  The trail runs through quiet residential neighborhoods, lively business and commercial districts, and shady greenbelts. The northernmost part of the trail follows a marshy area which is a haven for ducks, geese, and turkeys.

Grab some goodies at the Dublin Farmer’s Market, held every Thursday evening at Emerald Glen Community Park, to use for your backyard happy hour or dinner spread. Or, grab some bites from the food vendors and have an evening picnic in the park.

For horse lovers, check out Creek Hill Farms where you can take professional lessons and training from a seasoned rider. Get the little ones involved with a Tiny Tots program available for ages four and up!

Enjoy the green space in your community. Pick up food from a local restaurant – something as easy as pizza or fun like sushi – and head to a nearby park to eat. If you have kiddos, bring some fun activities like water balloons, chalk, or a bubble machine.

Or, explore the great indoors

More comfortable staying at home? Pick up some wine curbside at The Wine Steward for a virtual wine tasting you can enjoy in the comfort of your own home. Make it an event with friends if you can! Decide on wines beforehand, hop on Zoom or FaceTime, and sample them simultaneously.

Take advantage of your outdoor space and camp out in the backyard. Set up a tent and roast s’mores on the firepit, tell scary stories, and enjoy the star-filled sky. Don’t have a full-sized yard to use? Spruce up your balcony for your own private oasis with hanging lights or candle lanterns, greenery, and comfortable seating. Fake a campfire by wrapping string lights around a bundle of decorative firewood. When styled correctly, your outdoor space easily becomes an extension of your living area.

Boulevard is a place to experience. There’s an abundance of new things to explore and that next great discovery is right within your city. Be sure to LIKE us on Facebook and FOLLOW us on Instagram to stay up to date on all the latest happenings at Brookfield Residential NorCal!
